NOTICE OF WATER RATE INCREASE
Date: October 16, 2020
Parker County Special Utility District Customers:
In September 2020, the Mineral Wells City Council approved a water rate increase of 10.47 % for all utility customers. The rate adjustment is the result of ever-increasing costs to produce quality drinking water. The District Board of Directors held a Public Meeting on October 15, 2020 to discuss the rate increase. After review of the District’s budget, the District’s future water needs and supply, and such other matters that the Board believes are relevant, the Directors approved an “Order Adopting Change in Water Rates” that will be effective for the November/December billing period.
The District’s last rate increase was May 28, 2019 due to generate sufficient funds to meet Additional Bonds Test for funding with Texas Water Development Board for Phase I Water System Improvements.
