Please Check for Leaks
February 21, 2025
The District has been sending out an abundance of water from the Treatment Plant and Pump Stations since last night. We are in the process of looking for leaks on our main lines. We need our customers help in case it is on your side of the meter, so we are asking our customers to please check your meter to see if you have a possible leak. To do this, make sure all your water is turned off at the house and that your washer or dish washer is not running. Go to your meter box to see if your meter leak indicator is spinning or if you have a digital meter it will actually show a faucet with water dripping. If you find that you have a leak on your side, we advise you to turn your water off and call a plumber.
If you have a digital meter, you can sign up at eyeonwater.com and view your readings from your meter. You will just need your account number and zip code to sign up. You can also set it to notify you of any leaks. If you have a drive by meter, you will not be able to view those readings online. They are read with our drive-by system using a laptop.
Thank you! We appreciate your help!

The District is still in Stage II Water Rationing even though City of Mineral Wells has lifted their restrictions. The District is in the final stages of expanding the Treatment Plant and can not take on the full load of the entire system at this time. Normal household supply and fire suppression could be curtailed without these restrictions in place. Thank you for your cooperation as we manage through the current drought. Please share this notice.
